Tour 2014 – Kitwanga to Watson Lake

For this part of the journey I spent 11 days from May 23rd to June 2nd, cycling 950 km.


About 4km after the Yellowhead & Cassiar junction, I reached an RV campground just before Kitwanga. The rain had just stopped and I was able to pitch my tent near the picnic shelter. The campground had laundry, showers and internet and it wasn’t too crowded. There was also a free municipal campground at the town centre but it didn’t look too inviting.


The road was in fairly good condition with a healthy dose of rolling hills. My next possible stop in Meziadin Lake was still far away so I would have to improvise in between.
